Microgreens - Listny Cud
What are the microgreens?
It's a real superfood!
Microgreens are an intermediate form between sprouts and the mature plant you can find in the shops. They are rich in vitamins, antioxidants and macronutrients, which are bubbling with nutrients such as iron, potassium, and folic acid. The most popular microgreens that you can already find on the market are microgreens of broccoli, mustard, radish, and rocket. They are significantly smaller than their adult forms. Depending on the plant, the microgreens reach a height of 2. 5 cm to 7. 5 cm and have a very intense flavour.
Sounds like sprouts.A little bit! The difference is that the microgreens are harvested 7-14 days after germination and therefore they are not germs anymore. What else does make a difference between microgreens and sprouts? The microgreens are already rooted – so we don’t eat them completely but cut them off directly from the ground. In addition, many studies have shown that microgreens provide even more concentrated nutritional values than conventional sprouts.
